Learning Skills Educator Certificate Course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of Specific Learning Difficulty Management. It is a three level programme.The first two levels cover the topics that lead to a detailed understanding of Specific Learning Difficulties. In the third level, the participants learn the methods of assessment and remediation of Specific Learning Difficulties.  You will acquire the ability to use the very successful remedial method “Open Sesame Learning Magic”.  Learning Skills Educator Certificate Course equips you with the knowledge, skill and resources to help the people with Specific Learning Difficulty to learn reading, spelling, writing and arithmetic skills.

The prime objective of this course is to enable the participants to do:

  • Remediation of specific difficulties in Reading, Spelling, Writing and Arithmetic skills.
  • Early intervention to Kindergartners at risk of Learning Difficulties.
  • Enhancing Attention , Study Skills and Social Skills of children

Eligibility for Admission to the Course

A Graduate in any discipline with a degree from a recognised university shall be eligible for admission to the Learning Skills Educator Certificate Course. Preference to candidates with Bachelors /Masters Degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Counselling, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, M.S.W, B.Ed., B.Ed. in Special Education. Parents (with graduation) of dyslexic children can also attend. The course content will be entirely in English.

Learning Centre for Children with Learning Difficulties

Learning Centre imparts remedial instruction to children with Learning and Attention Disorders to enhance their learning skills and school performance. Resource Room

A resource room is a separate remedial classroom in a school where students with educational disabilities, such as specific learning disabilities, are given direct, specialised instruction and academic remediation and assistance with homework and related assignments, individually or in groups.
